Topless Apparel brings the paintings of Sean McGarry to the body. A Buffalo native now living and working in Chicago, McGarry's paintings translate the process between human experience and involuntary human response. His most recent body of work pricks at human sexual triggers.

Many of his paintings target the thrill seeking nocturnal crowd rather than wine and cheese set. McGarry may be better paired with the underground movements of popular culture than white walled gallery space, but his collected images have been known to transform traditional gallery shows into intimate, experimental spaces. McGarry's patrons are those who connect with the visceral and seductive.

The current collection doesn't leave the audience to visual conception alone. The subjects of the paintings are also revealed through a brief narrative.
